For those that are unaware there are privacy settings we can at least on the upside secure our own Facebook page without it staying set as default TOTALLY PUBLIC just as this forum is.
As far as 100% security on any computer? It is non existent at this time. We do have some pretty good software that is only by others experiences, can warn us of dangerous websites, programs, other apps etc... Unfortunately right now there is nothing anyone can do about this but IMO I feel sure something soon will become available to us all. However, signing in to FACEBOOK and other websites when giving our names and personal email address, also means being found by name on any search engine isn't, not without becoming available to anyone that may search for you. Somtimes you may not want to be bothered by etc...
Do yourself a favor and check your settings on FACEBOOK and any other website, or forum that you leave either your name or email. Be aware on facebook many people have pages still set up as the first day they joined. Making it possible for prying eyes to find your information meant for only your friends to see. So check out what friends see and what the Public sees by checking out your privacy settings on Facebook.
These settings will help protect who sees what on your Facebook page and also that they can change, so it is always a good practice to take a look see from time to time. There is one setting that keeps your name availabe to been seen by default as the only way old friends or family can find you.
As this forum is also public be careful what you would like to ask or answer to if you feel it may be too delicate for other members here, as well as yourself. Send an instant message which keeps these answers or questions from being seen publicly.
This a very helpful/ informative forum, as is its archives, as you look through here, you may find your answer to a question already asked and answered. If not, there are very helpful members that will be glad to help.
But as I remind all this too, is PUBLIC forum and anyone can read whatever you post unless you use your inbox to either ask or answer the delicate matters.
My Best to all
